This manual has been written for and applies directly toinstruments with serial numbers prefixed as indicated on the titlepage. Earlier versions of the instrument {serial numbers prefixedlower than the ones indicated on the title page) may be slightlydifferent in design or appearance. The purpose of this section of themanual is to document these differences.7-3. With the information provided in this section, this manual canbe corrected so that it applies to any earlier version orconfiguration of the instrument. Later versions of the instrument(serial numbers prefixed higher than the ones indicated on the titlepage) will be documented in a yellow Manual Changes supplement.7-4. To adapt this manual to an earlier instrument, refer to Table7-1 and make all of.the manual backdating changes listed oppositeyour instrument serial number or serial number prefix.
