Remove the pull-tab from the battery door. Place the solarlight in a location where it can receive a full 8 hours of sunlight to allowthe rechargeable battery/batteries to reach maximum capacity.q If the soil is of a loose, sandy or organic type, grasp the post with bothhands near the spike and firmly push into the ground.q If the soil is hard, pour some water onto the ground to soften it.q If the soil is stony, soften the ground with a rake or shovel and removelarge rocks. Dig a small hole, insert the fixture spike, replace the soil andtap down.q Never push the fixture into the ground by the fixture head.q Attach the spike (D) to the post (C) by pressing them together and pressthe post into the bottom of the cage base (B).q Install the bulb on the top cap (A) by turning it clockwise to lock onthe base.q Install the top cap (A) by turning it clockwise on top of the cage (B).q Remove the top cap (A) by turning it counterclockwise.q Remove the bulb by turning it counterclockwise.q Remove the battery cover.q Remove the old battery and replace with 1 new AA NiMhrechargeable battery of same or greater mAh.(USE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES ONLY).q Be sure to insert the battery in proper direction.q Replace the battery cover.q Replace the bulb by turning it clokwise.q Replace the top cap by turning clockwise.ABDCABDCDPull-tabBulbBatteryBattery coverLEDACAUTION: The light element is fragile.
