Pilots can check weather radar, visible and infrared cloud imagery,METARs, TAFs, AIRMETs, SIGMETs, PIREPs, NOTAMs, winds and temperatures aloft,TFRs and lightning data. With Garmin Pilot, weather data can be overlaid on VFRSectionals, IFR low altitude en route charts, IFR high altitude en route charts, WAC,or a simple map showing major roads and borders to visualize the weather for yourroute. Add text-based weather widgets and use the exclusive NavTrack feature to viewweather information along the planned route.ACTIVE FLIGHT PLANThe Active Flight Plan page manages the current active flight plan. Flight plans canbe created, bookmarked (stored), and reversed from the Active Flight Plan Form. Fromthe Active Flight Plan form, flight plans can enter in one of two ways. First, tap withinthe route field and use the keyboard to add waypoints separated by spaces. Second,tap the ' Add Waypoint' button in the flight plan list and use the keyboard to enterthe waypoint identifier. Flight plans can also be edited on the map once a departurepoint is entered. The Active Flight Plan form allows for flight plans to be bookmarkedor stored for later use.Creating an Active Flight Plan:1) From any page tap > .2) Tap within the route field to activate the cursor.3) Use the keyboard to insert waypoints.
