File MenuThe File Menu allows you to open, save, and print sensor configurations. The items in the File Menu work like mostWindows-based programs.Comm MenuThe Comm (Communication) Menu allows you to set the port number, baud rate, and then connect and disconnectfrom the sensor.Setup: Opens the Comm Setup Window. Select the serial port to whichthe sensor is connected from the drop-down list. Then select Auto (theprogram determines the baud rate on its own) or Manual (you then enterthe baud rate) for the baud rate entry.Connect: Select Connect to connect to the sensor to change or view theconfiguration.Disconnect: Select Disconnect to disconnect from the sensor.Config MenuThe Config (Configuration) Menu allows youconfigure the sensor as it is connected.Sensor Configuration (F6): Opens the SensorConfiguration Window, shown to the right.Many of the fields in this window should be leftalone. Please refer to the beginning of thismanual for clarification about some of thesefields. For the most part, this window is used toenter a new latitude, longitude, and altitude forthe sensor. This is especially helpful when youare programming the sensor for use in aparticular geographic location.Resetting the Unit (Reset Unit) performs a reseton the unit, much like cycling the power.Resetting the non-volatile memory (ResetNonVol) will clear all of the data from the non-volatile memory.NMEA Sentence Selections (F7): Displays the NMEA Sentence SelectionsWindow.
