Always grip plug firmlyand pull straight out from the receptacle.Replace immediately all electric servicecords that have become frayed or otherwisedamaged. A damaged power supply cordmust be replaced with a new power supplycord obtained from the manufacturer andnot repaired. Do not use a cord that showscracks or abrasion damage along its lengthor at either the plug or connector end.Turn the unit OFF and unplug your airconditioner before cleaning.GE does not support any servicing of theair conditioner. We strongly recommendthat you do not attempt to service the airconditioner yourself.For your safety…do not store or usecombustible materials, gasoline or otherflammable vapors or liquids in the vicinityof this or any other appliance.All air conditioners contain refrigerants,which under federal law must be removedprior to product disposal. If you are gettingrid of an old product with refrigerants, checkwith the company handling disposal aboutwhat to do.If the receptacle does not match the plug,the receptacle must be changed out by aqualified electrician.These R410A air conditioning systemsrequire contractors and technicians touse tools, equipment and safety standardsapproved for use with this refrigerant.DO NOT use equipment certified forR22 refrigerant only.SAFETY PRECAUTIONSDo not, under any circumstances, cut or removethe third (ground) prong from the power cord.For personal safety, this appliance must beproperly grounded.DO NOT use an adapter plug with this appliance.The power cord of this appliance is equippedwith a 3-prong (grounding) plug which mateswith a standard 3-prong (grounding) wall outletto minimize the possibility of electricshock hazard from this appliance.Power cord includes a current interrupter device.A test and reset button is provided on the plugcase. The device should be tested on a periodicbasis by first pressing the TEST button andthen the RESET button while plugged into theoutlet. If the TEST button does not trip or if theRESET button will not stay engaged, discontinueuse of the air conditioner and contact a qualifiedservice technician.Have the wall outlet and circuit checked bya qualified electrician to make sure the outletis properly grounded.Where a 2-prong wall outlet is encountered,it is your personal responsibility and obligation tohave it replaced with a properly grounded3-prong wall outlet.The air conditioner should always be pluggedinto its own individual electrical outlet which hasa voltage rating that matches the rating plate.This provides the best performance and alsoprevents overloading house wiring circuits whichcould cause a fire hazard from overheated wires.See the Installation Instructions, ElectricalRequirements section for specific electricalconnection requirements.HOW TO CONNECT ELECTRICITY
