Order Part No. WB02X10956 fromyour GE supplier.If the model is not vented to the outside, theair will be recirculated through a disposablecharcoal filter that helps remove smoke andodors.The charcoal filter should be replaced when it isnoticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6 to12 months, depending on usage). See “OptionalKits,” page 10, for more information.To Remove the Charcoal FilterTo remove the charcoal filter, first disconnectpower at the main fuse or circuit breaker, or pullthe plug. Remove the top grille by removing thetwo screws that hold it in place.You may need to open the cabinet doors toremove the screws.Lift the filter at the bottom until it comes free ofthe tabs. Pushthe bottom of the filter in until it rests in placebehind the tabs.
