10Handset Charge Cradle1. Choose an area near an electrical outlet and place yourcordless telephone on a level surface.. Plug the AC power converter into the electrical outlet and theDC connector into the jack on the back of the cradle.. Place the handset in the cradle. The CHARGE indicator turnson, verifying the battery is charging.Allow handset to charge for 16 hours prior to first use. If youdo not properly charge the handset, battery performance iscompromised.CAUTION: Use only the model 5-2718 poweradaptor that came with this unit. Using otherpower adaptors may damage the unit.Telephone OperationPower On/Off OperationThe handset is powered on by connecting the battery or if thehandset has been powered down, press and hold the END CALLbutton for seconds.To power off the handset, press and hold the END CALL buttonfor seconds.Note: If the handset is on the cradle, only the(speaker) and END CALL buttons are functional.RegistrationYOU MUST REGISTER THE HANDSET TO THE MAIN BASEBEFORE USE! It is not recommended that handset beregistered again unless absolutely necessary.
