It can be transitioned to 6″round.n DuctworkMUST be vented to the outside–neverinto a crawl space, attic or other enclosed space.n Determine the need for a wall cap or roof cap.Order the cap in advance.Advance Planning—Electrical and Gas LocationPlan the placement of the electrical outlet and gas(if used) carefully. Gas or electrical outlets cannotbe placed on the back wall of the cabinet becauseit may interfere with the downdraft plenum.n Install a standard electrical outlet within reachof the vents’ two foot long power cord.–The vent and a gas cooktop combinationcan operate from the same 120 volt standardduplex outlet.–Electric cooktops must operate from a separate240 volt junction box.Tools and Materials Requiredn Large flat-blade screwdriver.n Jig sawn Carpenter’s squaren Ductwork to suit the installationParts SuppliedOpen the carton and remove parts package.
