Using the oven.To avoid possible burns, place the racks in the desired position before you turn the oven on.Before you begin…The racks have stop-locks, so that when placedcorrectly on the supports, they will stop beforecoming completely out, and will not tilt.When placing and removing cookware, pull therack out to the bump on the rack support.To remove a rack, pull it toward you, tilt thefront end up and pull it out.To replace, place the end of the rack (stop-locks) on the support, tilt up the front and pushthe rack in.Preheating and Pan PlacementPreheat the oven if the recipe calls for it.To preheat, set the oven at the correcttemperature. Preheating is necessary for goodresults when baking cakes, cookies, pastry andbreads.For ovens without a preheat indicator light ortone, preheat 10 minutes.Baking results will be better if baking pans arecentered in the oven as much as possible. Pansshould not touch each other or the walls of theoven. If you need to use two racks, stagger thepans so one is not directly above the other, andleave approximately 11ø2s between pans, fromthe front, back and sides of the wall.6The oven has 4 rack positions.Touch the BAKE pad.Touch the + or – pad to set the desiredtemperature.Touch the START pad.Check food for doneness at minimum timeon recipe. Cook longer if necessary.Touch the CLEAR/OFF pad when cookingis complete.NOTE: The lower oven is controlled with a knob.To set the oven for baking turn the knob to thedesired setting or temperature. Turn the knob toOFF when baking is complete.NOTE: A cooling fan may automatically turn onand off to cool internal parts. Damage from improper useof these items is not covered by the productwarranty.Foil may be used to catch spills by placinga sheet on a lower rack, several inchesbelow the food. Do not use more foil thannecessary and never entirely cover an ovenrack with aluminum foil. Keep foil at least1-1/2” from oven walls to prevent poor heatcirculation.
