It is caused bythe heating of new parts and insulating materialsand will disappear in a short time.NOTE: On models with a white glass cooktop,it is normal for the surface to appear dicoloredwhen it is hot. This is temporary and willdisappear as the glass cools.The surface unit will cycle on and off tomaintain your selected control setting.It is safe to place hot cookware from theoven or surface on the glass surface whenthe surface is cool.Even after the surface units are turnedoff, the glass cooktop retains enough heatto continue cooking. To avoid over-cooking, remove pans from the surfaceunits when the food is cooked. Avoidplacing anything on the surface unit untilit has cooled completely.nWater stains (mineral deposits) are removableusing the cleaning cream or full strength whitevinegar.nUse of window cleaner may leave aniridescent film on the cooktop. The cleaningcream will remove this discoloration.nDon’t store heavy items above the cooktop.If they drop onto the cooktop, they can causedamage.nDo not use the surface as a cutting board.
