Remove the grid from the pan.Carefully pour out grease from the paninto a proper container. Wash and rinsethe broiler pan and grid in hot waterwith a soap-filled or plastic scouring pad.If food has burned on, sprinkle the gridwith detergent while hot and cover withwet paper towels or a dishcloth. Soakingthe pan will remove burned-on foods.The broiler pan and grid may be cleanedwith a commercial oven cleaner.Both the broiler pan and grid can also becleaned in a dishwasher.Do not store a soiled broiler pan and gridanywhere in the range.CAUTION: Do not clean the broilerpan or grid in a self-cleaning oven.GridPanVent appearance and location vary.Pull the knob straight off the stem.Oven Air VentsNever block the vents (air openings) of therange. They provide the air inlet and outletthat are necessary for the range to operateproperly with correct combustion.Air openings are located at the rear ofthe cooktop, at the top and bottom of theoven door, and at the bottom of the range,under the kick panel or broiler drawer(depending on the model).Lower Control Panel (Front Manifold Panel) and KnobsIt’s a good idea to wipe the control panelafter each use of the oven. Use a dampcloth to clean or rinse. For cleaning, usemild soap and water or a 50/50 solutionof vinegar and water. For rinsing, useclean water. Polish dry with a soft cloth.Do not use abrasive cleansers, strongliquid cleaners, plastic scouring pads oroven cleaners on the control panel—they will damage the finish.Do not bend knobs by pulling them up ordown or by hanging a towel or other suchloads. This can damage the gas valve shaft.The control knobs may be removed foreasier cleaning. To remove a knob, pullit straight off the stem. If knob is difficultto remove, place a towel or dishclothbetween the knob and control panel andpull gently. Wash the knobs in soap andwater or a vinegar and hot water solution.Metal parts can be cleaned with soapand water. Do not use steel wool,abrasives, ammonia, acids or commercialoven cleaners. Dry with a soft cloth.
