It will leavemetal markings on the cooktopsurface.These marks are removable usingthe Ceramic Cooktop Cleaner withthe Cleaning Pad for CeramicCooktops.If pots with a thin overlay ofaluminum or copper are allowedto boil dry, the overlay may leaveblack discoloration on the cooktop.This should be removedimmediately before heating againor the discoloration may bepermanent.WARNING: Carefully check thebottom of pans for roughness that would scratchthe cooktop.Metal Marks and Scratcheswww.GEAppliances.caTo clean the cooktop seal around theedges of the glass, lay a wet cloth on itfor a few minutes, then wipe clean withnonabrasive cleaners.Cooktop SealGlass surface—potential for permanent damage.Damage from Sugary Spills and Melted PlasticTurn off all surface units.
