Do not store or use combustible materials,gasoline or other flammable vapors andliquids in the vicinity of this or any otherappliance. Keep the hood and grease filters cleanto maintain good venting and to avoidgrease fires. Teach children not to play with thecontrols or any other part of the range. Always keep dish towels, dishcloths, potholders and other linens a safe distancefrom your range. Always keep wooden and plastic utensilsand canned food a safe distance fromyour range. Always keep combustible wall coverings,curtains or drapes a safe distance fromyour range.WARNING!SAFETY PRECAUTIONSCook meat and poultry thoroughly—meat to at least an INTERNAL temperature of 160°F and poultry to at leastan INTERNAL temperature of 180°F. Cooking to these temperatures usually protects against foodborne illness.COOK MEAT AND POULTRY THOROUGHLY…Use proper pan size—select cookware having flat bottoms large enough to cover the surface unitheating element. The use of undersized cookware will expose a portion of the surface unit to directcontact and may result in ignition of clothing. Proper relationship of cookware to surface unit willalso improve efficiency.RADIANT SURFACE UNITS Never leave the surface units unattendedat high heat settings. Boilovers causesmoking and greasy spillovers that maycatch on fire. Only certain types of glass, glass ⁄ceramic,earthenware or other glazed containersare suitable for cooktop service; othersmay break because of the sudden changein temperature. To minimize the possibility of burns,ignition of flammable materials andspillage, the handle of a containershould be turned toward the center ofthe range without extending over nearbysurface units. Always turn the surface units off beforeremoving cookware. When preparing flaming foods underthe hood, turn the fan on.
