Using the surface units.14Operating InstructionsInstallation InstructionsSafety InformationTroubleshooting TipsCustomer ServiceDual Surface Unit SwitchTo use the small (6 inch) surface unit, push in theSMALL BURNER portion of the switch next to thecontrol knob.To use the large (9 inch) surface unit, push in theLARGE BURNER portion of the switch.9" 6"The right front surface unit has2 cooking sizes to select from so youcan match the size of the unit to thesize of the cookware you are using.Every radiant surface unit has a temperature limiter.The temperature limiter protects the glass cooktop from gettingtoo hot.The temperature limiter may cycle the units off for a time if:nThe pan boils dry.nThe pan bottom is not flat.nThe pan is off center.nThere is no pan on the unit.Temperature LimiterUsing the Bridge BurnerTo use the bridge burner, push in the left portion oftheBRIDGE BURNER switch next to the front burnercontrol knob.Use the control knob for the front burner to heat thefront and middle section of the bridge burner.Use the rear control knob to heat the rear section ofthe bridge burner.To use only the front burner, push in the right portionof theBRIDGE BURNER switch next to the front burnercontrol knob.The bridge burner switch is next to thefront burner control knob.
