Remember, your new oven may performdifferently than the oven it is replacing.Baking and Roasting ModesSelect a mode for baking and roasting based on thetype and quantity of food you are preparing. Whenpreparing baked goods such as cakes, cookies, andpastries always preheat the oven first. Follow reciperecommendations for food placement. If no guidelinesare provided, center food in the oven.Traditional BakeThe traditional bake mode is intended for single rackcooking. This mode uses heat primarily from the lowerelement but also from the upper element to cookfood. To use this mode press the Bake pad, entera temperature, and then press Start. Preheating isgenerally recommended when using this mode.Convection Bake Multi RackThe Convection Bake Multi Rack mode is intendedfor baking on multiple racks at the same time. Thismode uses heat primarily from the rear element, whenavailable, but also heat from the upper and lowerelements, along with air movement from the convectionfan to enhance cooking evenness. Your oven isequipped with Auto Recipe Conversion, so it is notnecessary to convert the temperature when using thismode. Baking time might be slightly longer for multipleracks than what would be expected for a single rack. Touse this mode press the Convection Bake pad, enter atemperature, and then press Start. Always preheat whenusing this mode.Convection RoastThe Convection Roast mode is intended for roastingwhole cuts of meat on a single rack. This mode usesheat from the lower, upper, and rear elements, whenavailable, along with air movement from the convectionfan to improve browning and reduce cooking time. Itis not necessary to convert temperature. Check foodearlier than the recipe suggested time when using thismode or use a meat probe. To use this mode press theConvection Roast pad, enter a temperature, and thenpress Start. It is not necessary to preheat when usingthis mode.Broiling ModesBroiling is available in both ovens. For better broiling, the lower oven is recommended. When broiling in theupper oven, the door should remain CLOSED. Whenbroiling in the lower oven, the door should remain OPEN.Monitor food closely while broiling. Use caution whenbroiling on upper rack positions as placing food closer tothe broil element increases smoking, spattering, and thepossibility of fats igniting. For best performance centerfood below the broil heating element. Broiling on rackposition 7 in the lower oven is not recommended.Try broiling foods that you would normally grill. Adjustrack positions to adjust the intensity of the heat to thefood. Place foods closer to the broil element when aseared surface and rare interior is desired. Thicker foodsand foods that need to be cooked through should bebroiled on a rack position farther from the broiler or byusing Broil Lo.Broil HiThe Traditional Broil Hi mode uses intense heat fromthe upper element to sear foods. Use Broil Hi for thinnercuts of meat and/ or foods you prefer less done on theinterior. To use this mode press the Broil pad once andthen press Start. It is not necessary to preheat whenusing this mode.Broil LoThe Traditional Broil Lo mode uses less intense heatfrom the upper element to cook food thoroughly whilealso producing surface browning. Use Broil Lo for thickercuts of meat and/or foods that you would like cookedall the way through. To use this mode press the Broilpad twice and then press Start. It is not necessary topreheat when using this mode.WarmWarm mode is designed to keep hot food hot, it is notintended to heat cold food. To use this mode, press theWarm pad then press Start.
