Solar Powered Mole & Snake Repellent GS-503USER INSTRUCTIONThanks for purchasing our device. Please read and understand these instructions and keep this manual for futurereference. The solar mole and snake repellent unit is designed to repel moles and snakes by emitting a pulse which moles andsnakes feel as a vibration transmitted through the ground. Moles and snakes then perceive a danger zone, causingthem to evacuate the area. It is not so much a physical barrier but rather creates an area where the snakes and molesdo not want to be.OperationThe repeller transmits its signal in all directions for approximately 8 ft / 2.5 m. Units can be placed approx. 16ft / 5 m apart to get optimum coverage. It is always recommended to use two or more units to get the bestresults. Place a unit close to retaining walls, rock gardens, old sheds, etc. to drive snakes out from theirhiding places and send them away. When first installing the units, keep children and animals away from thearea for the first hour, in case any snakes are driven out of their hiding places. The unit works with rechargeable batteries. The solar module runs the unit and charges the battery duringthe day. Night-time operation is enabled by the batteries. When the power button is pressed, the device vibrates and emits light to make sure everything is workingproperly, and then it works once every minute for roughly 5 seconds to save battery while getting the bestresults.Installation Procedure1. Attach the small connector on the wires from the base of the unit’s head to the one from the spike section, and attach the spike to the head of the unit2. Press “ON” under the head of the unit.3. Insert the spike into the ground paying attention not todamage the unit. The spike should be firmly plantedwhile leaving the base of the head a minimum of 1-2”above the ground. We suggest using a crowbar to firstmake a small hole and gently push the spike in or dig asmall hole and backfill with earth after the unit is inplace. Do not use a mallet, hammer, or excessive force,as this may damage the unit. As long as you can get theunit 2/3 of the way into the ground with firm groundcontact, this is proper placement.4. You can tell the unit is operating if the LED light flashesas it transmits its signal, and you will feel the vibrations.5. At times, the unit may need a short time in the sun toget a boost and start up when first installed. If the unitstops operating, check/change the battery. This is themost common reason for the unit to stop operating. |
