System expansion68 Fujitsu Technology SolutionsRemoving and installing non-accessible 3½ inch drives (harddisks, HDD)A maximum of two 3½ inch SAS/SATA HDD modules can be installed. Each HDD module canaccept a SAS/SATA hard disk drive with a maximum mounting height of 1 inch. The connection ofthe HDD module to the SAS/SATA backplane is wire-free. This allows the HDD modules to be simplyplugged in or pulled out.Mixed configurations of SAS and SATA HDD modules are not supported.• If only one HDD module is being installed, it is placed in the location on the left-hand side (0),an empty module must be installed in the location on the right-hand side (1).
