888.2.3 Switching the SE server offFigure 44 shows the hardware involved in switching the Server Unit /390 on/off.The following hardware components must be switched off in the specified order.1. Switch off the optional Application UnitsBefore the Application Unit is switched off, the power-on indicator lights up green.> Terminate the customer applications and the operating system properly.The Application Unit is switched off automatically and enters standby mode. The status indicator lights uporange. Check this before continuing.Alternatively, as the administrator or AU administrator you can switch the Application Unit off using the SEManager (menu , tab, symbol), see the “Operation and Administration”Hardware ->Units Units Switch offmanual [ ].5Further Application Units are switched off in the same way.2. Switch off the Server Unit SU /390> As the administrator, BS2000 administrator or a privileged operator, switch off the Server Unit using the SEManager (menu , tab, symbol), see the “Operation and Administration”Hardware ->Units Units Switch offmanual [ ].5When the Server Unit is switched off, the BS2000 system is shut down properly taking into account theremaining runtime specified.Before the Server Unit is switched off, the power-on indicator lights up green, and after it has been switchedoff, it lights up orange. Check this before continuing.Alternatively you can switch the Server Unit off by pressing the STAND-BY button on the server's control panel (see) or via the SVP console (menu item POWER STAND-BY in AUXILIARY FRAME:"Control panel (on the SE /390)"POWER STAND-BY/IMPL). The BS2000 system should already have been shut down.CAUTION!This does not disconnect the hardware components completely from the power source (POWER STAND-BY).
