20Setting up your SF-810GPS positioningWhen you switch to the Measurement screen, theproduct receives a signal from various satellites, andidentifies your GPS position.1 Go to a location outside with no obstructionsoverhead.2 Press C on the Time screen to perform GPSpositioning.When GPS positioning is complete, theMeasurement screen is displayed.When the Measurement screen is displayed, you canstart measuring.See “Measuring your workouts” on page 28.Skipping GPS positioningIf you do not want to use GPS features, or if GPSpositioning is taking too long, press C or D to highlightSkip, then press A.The product continues to search for a GPS signal, andstarts recording positional information when itsuccessfully synchronizes with a satellite. The routeyou have travelled before the GPS has synchronized isnot recorded, but distance and pace data can still bemeasured. The product will use the stride sensor until aGPS connection is made.See “Measurable items” on page 22.Indoor modeThis function allows you to measure withoutperforming GPS positioning.Your route is not recorded in Indoor mode.
