However,it is recommended that you make a full backup of any data before youproceed.IntroductionYou can check your existing firmware version in the bottom right of the“Settings” menu of the P-2000/P-4000.An update is only possible to afirmware with a higher version number. (see image below).The following conditions must be met before you can update the firmware.• The battery must be inserted into the P-2000/P-4000 and should befully charged• The AC Adapter must be plugged in to the mains and connected to theP-2000/P-4000• A Compact Flash (CF) or Secure Digital (SD) memory card with a sizeof 128MB or greater should be available and clear of data
