14 cleaning and care electrolux en:v barbecueThe Electrolux En:V barbecue has been constructed fromselect grade stainless steel which, if not cared for, maydiscolour over time. To keep your barbecue looking its bestwe recommend that the cooking surfaces are cleaned afterevery use.warningPlease ensure that your barbecue is switched off andhas cooled down before following the instructionsbelow.Cleaning of Stainless Steel componentsHot Plate and Grill• Remove all solid materials and excess grease from grilland hotplate using scraper or wire brush• To make cleaning easy, the two grill halves can beremoved with the hotplate. For stubborn stains, simplysoak the grill and plate components in hot soapy waterbefore rinsing thoroughly• Ensure that all surfaces are dried with a clean dry cloth• The hot plate & grill will discolour with high temperatureswhen used. The discolouration is normal and does notaffect the durability or performance.Other stainless steel surfacescautionDo not use abrasive or caustic cleaners, scourersor metal scrapers on these stainless steel surfacesas they may permanently scratch and damage yourbarbecue.• Wash all stainless steel components, including theslimline lid, the roasting hood and control knobs with asoft dishcloth using hot soapy water• The barbecue interior can be wiped down with a softcloth in hot soapy water. The rear panel of the interior isremovable for easy cleaning• Ensure that all surfaces are dried with a clean dry clothCleaning and carecautionTake extra care (particularly when cleaning on andaround the control knobs) to ensure that water andsoapy residue do not enter the control panel, wherethe valves are or into the burners. Care should also betaken not to disturb the spark electrode. A distanceof 5mm should be maintained between it and theburners (see diagram below).Cleaning the oil reservoirsThe Integrated barbecue has a unique oil managementsystem which uses overlapping channels to drain all oilto the front into easily removed reservoirs and should becleaned after each use.• To remove reservoirs, pull upwards from the front of thebarbecue and dispose of the contents of the catchmentresponsibly. Rinse oil reservoirs in warm soapy water.The reservoirs can be placed in the dishwasher ifdesired.Powder coated panelsDo not use abrasive or caustic cleaners, scourers or metalscrapers as they may permanently damage your barbecue.Wash all powder coated panels with a soft dishcloth usingwarm soapy water. Ensure that all surfaces are dried with aclean dry cloth.Side BurnerThe side burner contains aluminium fittings. Do not usecaustic based cleaners. Do not place burner bodies or capsin a dishwasher. Check burner ports for blockages andclear as required. If caps, crown and cup are heavily soiled,use a non-abrasive cleaning compound.TrivetThe trivet can be removed for cleaning. Clean by washing inwarm soapy water. Take care when replacing the trivets asdropping them may damage the enamelled surface.5mm
