(See page 8.)2. Load the dryer. (See page 8.)3. Select the desired cycle. (See page 9, pages11-14 and page 22.)Normal Operating Sounds4. Select desired settings and options. (See page9, page 17, page 18, and pages 19-20.)5. Start the dryer. (See page 10.)You may or may not hear the following soundsfrom your new dryer:A. WATER VALVE The flow of water is controlled byelectric solenoids. During operation there may bea clicking sound as the valve opens and closes tocontrol the water flow.B. SUSPENSION ROLLERS The dryer drumis supported by a set of suspension rollers.At times there may be a thumping or rollingsound when the dryer starts. This may happenif the dryer has not been in use for a period oftime, or after a heavy load has remained in thedryer drum for an extended period, creatinga temporary flat spot on the edge of theroller. The noise should dissipate as the dryeroperates and the flat spots smooth out.C. PERFECT TUMBLE TM When the reversing-action option of perfect tumble TM is selected,you will hear the intermittent sound of the dryerstopping, momentarily pausing, then restarting inthe opposite direction.D. AIR FLOW SYSTEM Your dryer is equippedwith a high volume air handling system. Insome installations there may be some soundsassociated with air movement throughoutthe dryer, including the air duct, blower, and Rexhaust system. This is normal and can varywith load size and type.E. GAS VALVE (Gas models only.) The flow of gas iscontrolled by electric solenoids. During operation@there may be a clicking sound as the valve opensand closes to control the gas flow.GAS BURNER (Gas models only.) When theburner is operating, there may be soundsgenerated as the air flow mixes with the gasflame. This noise is normal and will only occurwhen the gas is ignited in the combustion tube.
