Operating requires the combined use of several controlsapplied in specific sequences. To learn what combination and sequence of controls to use for various tasks see the OPERATION section.FEATURES & CONTROLSFuel TankTo remove the cap, turn counterclockwise.Chipper Cone / Shredder HopperChipper Cone: The chipper cone islocated on the front of the unit next tothe engine. Insert branches and treelimbs up to approximately 3” (7.6 cm) indiameter into the chipper cone. NEVERinsert hands past the mouth of the cone.Shredder Hopper: The shredder hopperis on top of the unit. Leaves and otherlight waste can be loaded into theshredder hopper. NEVER insert handsinto the hopper .Debris Bag: Use the debris bag to collectthe material discharged from the unit. Donot operate the unit without the debrisbag in place.Engine Stop / Throttle ControlThe engine stop / throttle control levercontrols turn the engine off and controlsthe engine speed. Move the throttleright to increase engine speed and left todecrease engine speed. Moving the leverall the way to the left stops the engine.Always operate at FULL throttle (leverfully right).Recoil StarterThe recoil starter is used to turn theengine over for starting.Fuel Shut-Off ValveThe fuel shut-off valve is located belowthe air cleaner housing. Always close thevalve when the unit is not in use.ChokeClose the choke for cold starting. Openthe choke once the engine starts. A warmengine may not require choking.
