The possible field values are:– Permit—Forwards packets which meet the ACE criteria.– Deny—Drops packets which meet the ACE criteria.– Shutdown—Drops packet that meet the ACE criteria, and disables the port towhich the packet was addressed. Ports are reactivated from the Port Configuration,see "Defining Port Parameters".Adding a MAC-based ACL:1 Open the Add ACE to MAC Based ACL page.2 Click Add. The Add MAC Based ACL page opens.A C E s A s s o c i a t e d w i t h M a c - B a s e d A C L s3 Define the ACL Name, Source and Destination Address, and Action fields.4 Click Apply Changes. The MAC-based ACL is defined and the device is updated.Assigning ACEs to a MAC-based ACL:1 Open the Add ACE to MAC Based ACL page.2 Select an ACL in the ACL Name drop-down list.3 Define the New ACE Priority field.4 Define the ACL Name, VLAN ID, Source and Destination Address, and Actionfields.5 Click Apply Changes. The ACE is assigned to the MAC based ACL.
