ChecklistBefore you start installing the PCI 10/100TX, verify that thePackage contains the following items:— PCI 10/100TX Board— LAN Driver Diskette— This User’s ManualPlease notify your sales representative immediately if any ofthe aforementioned items is missing or damaged.2. OverviewPCI 10/100TX is a Fast Ethernet Board that fully complieswith all IEEE 802.3u, 10/100Base-TX standards. Three LEDindicators (LINK, ACT, FDX) on the bracket will help tooversee the network link, board activity, and duplex status.3. 10/100TX PCI Bus Configuration• PCI 10/100TX is auto-configured by the system BIOS.• When installing multiple PCI 10/100TX boards at theserver station, you should correctly configure the IRQsettings of the PCI slots. Up to four PCI 10/100TX canbe installed in a PCI file server running NetWaresystem. Each PCI 10/100TX’s IRQ should not conflictwith other installed boards/devices.4. Full/Half Duplex Mode, 10/100MbpsPCI 10/100TX supports full/half duplex mode and 10/100Mbps operation. Operation in half or full duplex mode ateither 10 or 100 Mbps speed is set by Auto-Negotiation orLAN driver options. By employing Auto-Negotiationcapability, the remote link devices’ working condition will beauto-adjusted to the highest performance commonoperating mode. |
