As the exhaust gas high pressure andheat energy spins the turbine finswhich is installed at the exhaust hasexit at a high speed, the compressorfins which is directly connected to theturbine axe spins at the same speed toprovide excess fresh air into the enginecylinder.Vehicle operating mrthodSince the turbo charger spins at a highspeed, when engine oil is supplied toolate or too insufficiently, it might bringharm to the bearing.It is therefore essential that you followthe instructions for starting the vehicleand maintenance matters before andafter operating the vehicle.Before operating the vehicleDo not start driving right after ignition.You may start driving once you allowthe engine to run for 3 minutes so thatenough oil is supplied to eachlubrication conpartment of the turbocharger.After operating the vehicleDo not turn the car off right after wide-open throttle operation.When suddenly suspending the engineat a wide open throttle condition, thehigh temperature from the exhaust gasand oil might cause the turbo charger slubrication compartment to leak.You should therefore turn the car offafter 5 minutes of running(idling)Maintenance methodSince the turbo charger spins at a veryfast speed (50,000~200,000rpm), it isvery sensitive to the dust particles andother substances from the air, andpollution and insufficient supply ofengine oil. It is therefore very importantthat you pay close attention to itsmaintenance.Maintaining the air cleanerTo prevent the turbo charger s compressor sfin and driving section from earlydeterioration and breakdown due toinhalation of dust particles and othersubstances, you must regularly cleanand replace the air cleaner element andalso inspect it there is any defect in theconnection hose between the aircleaner and the turbo charger.Maintaining the engine oilAlways use standard oil and standardoil filter and adhere to replacementperiod intervals.2-75.
