What to do if you smell gas:• Do not try to light anyappliance.• Do not touch any electricalswitch, do not use any phonein your building.• Immediately call the gassupplier from a neighbor’sphone.• Follow the gas supplier’sinstructions.• If you cannot reach yourgas supplier, call the firedepartment.5. For your safety:• Do not store or use gasolineor other flammable vapors andliquids in the vicinity of this orany other appliance.• Do not obstruct the flow ofcombustion and ventilation airto the unit.• Keep appliance area clear andfree from combustible material.• Do not use or attempt to usethis appliance in the event of apower failure.6. This unit is designed as acooking appliance. Never useit for warming or heating aroom.7. This appliance must notbe used in combinationwith surface (countertop)ventilation systems. The useof an overhead hood, or DacorRaised Vent is recommendedfor ventilation.8. This appliance must beinstalled with the gas pressureregulator supplied with it.9. Disconnect the electricalsupply before installing orservicing the appliance.10. This appliance must begrounded. Connect only to aproperly grounded electricalsupply. Refer to “ElectricalRequirements”.11. Install or locate this applianceonly in accordance with theseinstallation instructions.12. Use this appliance only forits intended use as describedin this manual. Do not usecorrosive chemicals or vaporsin this appliance. This type ofappliance is not designed forindustrial or laboratory use.13. As with any appliance, closesupervision is necessarywhen used by children.14. Do not operate this applianceif it has a damaged electricalcord, plug, conduit or wires,if it is not working properly,or if it has been damaged ordropped.15. Installation of this appliancemust be performed by aqualified installer, serviceagency or the gas supplier.16. This appliance should beserviced only by qualifiedservice personnel.
