21Operating the OvenSetting Up the Sabbath FeaturePress the1. # key.Press the2. BAKE or PURE CONV key.Press the3. 0 or 2 keys repeatedly if you want tochange the pre-selected cooking temperature shownon the display.Press (only) the4. START key. The oven will go intoSabbath mode and cook using the mode selected instep 2.Things to Know About Sabbath ModeThe• CANCEL · SECURE key on your oven remainsactive so that you can turn off the Sabbath feature orturn off the oven.When the oven is cooking, pressing the• 2 key on thenumber keypad, then START, tells the oven to raisethe temperature by 25°F (15°C). Pressing the 0 keyon the number keypad, then START, tells the ovento lower the temperature by 25°F (15°C). In compli-ance with Jewish law, the heating element will beadjusted randomly when these keys are pressed andno changes will be seen on the display.Please visit www.star-k.org for further informationabout Sabbath compliance and usage of this product.Adjusting the Oven TemperatureYour oven is equipped with a feature that allows you tocalibrate the temperature inside the oven to match thedisplay value without the help of a service technician. Dueto various conditions, the actual temperature inside mayvary somewhat from the displayed temperature. The set-ting may also vary from mode to mode.warningDo not adjust the probe or self clean offsettemperatures. The offset for the probe and self cleanoffsets must remain at 0 for proper and/or safeoperation.To change the offset temperature:Place an oven thermometer inside the oven.1.Check the temperature variance by running the oven2.for one hour in each mode at 350°F (except broilmodes). In broil the normal operating temperature is555°F. Take note of the temperature variance in eachmode.With the oven off, press and hold the3. 0 and # keyson the number keypad at the same time. After aboutthree seconds “PAS” will appear on the display.Immediately enter4. 6428 on the number keypad, thenSTART. “SLCt” (select) will appear on the display.Press the key for the cooking mode you want to5.change the offset for (CONV BAKE, CONV BROIL,PURE CONV, CONV ROAST, BAKE or BROIL).Enter an offset temperature value from 1 to 35°F (16.to 18 for ovens set to Celsius). Press the # key afterentering the numeric value if you want the offset tobe a negative (-) value. Press # again to toggle the(-) setting off. “Edit” appears on the display when youstart to enter the offset value.Press7. START to save the setting.Repeat steps 5 and 6 above for any other cooking8.modes you need to offset.Press9. CANCEL · SECURE to exit offset mode.
