12Installation InstructionsCabinet Blower InstallationIf using cabinet blower (model CABP3):1. Locate the wiring diagram label included with theadapter kit. Peel the protective backing off and place itover the existing label on the CABP3 blower as shown.2. Locate the foam tape supplied with the raised vent.Place the blower on the floor in the orientation it will bemounted on the front of the raised vent. Peel the back-ing off the included foam tape and attach it to the rightand left flanges of the blower base plate.3. With the exhaust in the desired orientation, slide thebottom flange of the CABP3 blower base plate behindthe tab on the bottom of the adapter mounted to thefront of the raised vent.4. Cover the opening on the adapter by pushing theblower against it. Make sure that the foam tape cre-ates a good seal on the right and left side of the open-ing. Center the blower base plate horizontally over theopening on the front of the adapter.5. Install the adapter top retainer bracket over the blowerbase plate flange. Secure it in place with the three (3)wing nuts, lock washers and flat washers included withthe adapter.CABP3Top retainerbracketInsert bottom flange intotab at bottom of adapterAttach foamto right/leftflangesAdapterNew labelExistinglabelILHSF or REMP Series Blower InstallationIf using a ILHSF or REMP series blower, install it accordingto the blower installation instructions.Duct Work InstallationInstall the duct work according to the InstallationSpecifications section. Use sheet metal screws and ducttape to connect and seal all of the pieces. Support the ductweight as necessary to ensure sealed joints.Electrical InstallationWARNING• ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD - Do not connect theraised vent power plug to the electrical outlet untilinstallation is complete.• Failure to complete electrical connections properlymay result in an electric shock hazard or a damagedor non-functional system. Follow the wiring diagramscarefully to ensure a proper installation. Do notchange the factory wired terminal connections insidethe electrical access panel for the raised vent or theblower.• To avoid an electric shock hazard and to prevent dam-age route all wiring away from hot surfaces.1. For ILHSF and REMP blower installations, run the wir-ing/conduit line used to supply power from the raisedvent to the blower parallel to the duct work.2. Remove the cover from the raised vent electricalaccess panel.3. Connect the wiring/conduit to the blower as shown inthe wiring diagrams below and the facing page accord-ing to local codes and ordinances. Make sure all ter-minal connections, including the factory wired connec-tions, are tight. Replace the electrical access panel.Range/Cooktop InstallationInstall the range or cooktop according to its installationinstructions.
