25Door Gasket (Seal)warningtake extreme caution when cleaning the door gasket.rubbing or displacing it may damage the tight door sealrequired for proper cooking and self cleaning.clean the door gasket by dabbing it with a solution ofwater and mild soap. Do not scrub it or it will becomedamaged.Oven Rackscautionto prevent damage, do not self clean the oven racks.to clean the oven racks, apply a solution of detergentand hot water. when you need to clean heavy soil, use ascouring pad such as steel wool with plenty of water. youmay also use a solution of one cup of ammonia to 2 gal-lons of water.Broil Elementin most cases, any food that splatters on the boil elementcoils will burn off with normal broiler use. if desired youmay wipe the element clean, when it is cool, with a softdamp cloth soaked in warm soapy water.Meat Probewarningto prevent damage, do not immerse the meat probe inwater.the meat probe is constructed of silicone handles, a wire,a plug and a stainless steel skewer. to clean the skewer,use a scouring pad and hot, soapy water. when you cleanthe handles, wipe them with a soft sponge soaked with asolution of detergent and warm water.Optional Broil PanThe broil pan has a porcelain enamel finish. When youclean it, use a solution of detergent and hot water. if yourbroil pan is heavily soiled, use a scouring pad with plentyof water. rinse it well after cleaning.Cleaning the InteriorConvection Filterwarningfor your safety and proper oven performance, re-installthe filter before using the oven to cook. if you don’t, thespinning fan blades at the back of the oven will be exposed.The convection filter is located in the back of the ovenchamber (upper chamber only on double ovens). cleanthe filter regularly. If you allow it to become clogged, theoven’s convection cooking modes will not work properly.You also need to remove the filter during the self cleancycle.to remove the convection filter:When the oven is cool, put your fingers around the edgesof the filter and gently push up.to clean the filter:soak it in hot, soapy water. rinse well. you may also placeit in a dishwasher on the top rack.
