The heartof the DSN-1100-10 is a powerful 10Gbit iSCSISystem-on-a-Chip (SoC) capable of handlingover 80,000 I/Os per second. The DSN-1100-10supports 10TB of raw capacity using 2TB drives.The DSN-1100-10 can be easily implemented as asupplemental backup platform for quick restores,as secondary online storage, or as bandwidthdemanding primary storage for security surveillanceand A/V applications.iSCSI for IP NetworksStorage Area Networks (SANs) have traditionallybeen reserved for complex Fibre Channel networks.The recent introduction of iSCSI has extended thepowerful centralized storage capabilities of SANtechnology to IP networks. The tight integration ofthese functions eliminates interoperability, timingand support issues found in competitive productsthat offer a “discrete implementation” wherein variouscomponents are selected separately, then assembled.RAID supportD-Link’s xStack iSCSI SAN arrays support RAID level0, 1, 1+0 and 5 configurations (striped sets, mirroredsets, striped mirrored sets and parity sets) for dataprotection and performance.D-Link supports S.M.A.R.T., disk scan, and non-destructive data migration to prevent disk failure.Embedded Centralized Storage ManagementThe embedded, user-friendly IP-SAN DeviceManager (IDM) provides a comprehensive consolefor system management.
