Equipped with a 10/100BASE-TX Ethernetand high-speed 802.11g wireless LAN interface, this device lets you conveniently share your printer with a group of users, with or without the network wires. Supporting multiple network operating systems, this print server brings a high level offlexibility and performance to your printing needs.Multiple Ports Save CostSimultaneous Printing on All PrintersEthernet and Wireless InterfacesWith 3 printer ports available from a single device, you don'tneed to purchase and install a separate print server for eachprinter. This multi-port print server is only slightly moreexpensive than a single-port print server. Where your printersare closely placed together, it makes sense to buy 1 singleprint server instead of 3.Equipped with a powerful CPU, large memory and high-speed printer ports, this print server makes printing of yournetwork files fast. All printers attached to this device can printtheir print jobs at the same time, giving your multi-port printserver a similar performance as 3 separate single-port printservers. Two LAN interfaces are provided on this print server: (1) a10/100BASE-TX Ethernet port and (2) a high-speed 802.11gwireless LAN interface supporting up to 54Mbps networkdata transfer. This built-in flexibility allows both Ethernetusers and wireless users to print files through the print server.Wireless Network SecurityRemote Printing SupportSetup & Access ControlThe DP-G321 provides the necessary security for wirelessusers, using the user-selectable 64/128-bit industry-standardWEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption protocol. Dataprivacy mechanism is based on a shared key algorithm, asdescribed in the wireless LAN standard. The DP-G321 supports IPP (Internet Printing Protocol), soyou can set an IP address in the print server for remoteusers to output print files to the printers from remote places.Setting up the print server can be done from anyworkstation running a web browser. In addition, Windows-based menu-driven program allows you to doadministration jobs and set access control.
