WARNINGSAND S ETY INSTRUCTIONS....(Continued)Ak OPERATOR SAFETY• Always wear safety eye protection.• Always wear heay3_ long pants, long sleeves,boots, and gloves. Wearing safety leg guards is rec-ornmended_ Do not go barefoot or wear sandals,jewelry, short pants, short sleeves, loose clothing,or clothing with loosely hanging ties, straps, tas-sels, etc.; they can be caught in moving parts. Be-ing fully covered will help protect you from piecesof toxic plants such as poison ivy thrown by bladeor trimmer head which could be more of ahazardthan touching the plant itself.• Secure hair so it is above shoulder length.• Do not operate unit when you aretired, ill, or un-der the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.• Wear hearing protection if you use the unit formore than 1-1/2 hours per day.• Never start or run the engine reside a closed roomor building. Breathing exhaust fumes can kill.• Keep handles free of oil and fuel.• Alwaysuse the handlebar and a properly adjustedshoulder strap with a blade.
