18FREQUENCY SENSITIVITY (ELECTRICAL)The frequency sensitivity is range dependent when the Hzfunction is selected while in the voltage or current measuringmode. Below are typical sensitivities for the “electrical”measurement modes.Range( DC/AC )Sensitivity Frequencybandwidth4V ≥1.5V rms 5Hz~10kHz40V, 400V ≥10V rms 5Hz~20kHz≥20V rms 5Hz~200kHz1000V/1000V ≥420V rms 50Hz~1kHz400mA ≥45mA rms 5Hz~5kHz10A ≥4A rms 5Hz~1kHzAUTORANGING/MANUAL RANGE SELECTIONWhen the meter is first turned on, it automatically goes intoAutoranging. This automatically selects the best range forthe measurements being made and is generally the bestmode for most measurements. For measurement situationsrequiring that a range be manually selected, perform thefollowing:1. Press the RANGE key. The “Auto” display indicator willturn off.2. Press the RANGE key to step through the availableranges. Observe the decimal point and units displayeduntil the preferred range is located.3. To exit the Manual Ranging mode and return toAutoranging, press and hold the RANGE key for 2seconds.Note: Manual ranging does not apply for the Capacitanceand Frequency functions or for the mV range.
