GENERAL SAFETY RULES_, WARNING: When using electric gardening tools, basic safety precautionsshould always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personalinjury, including the precautions that follow.READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS• Avoid dangerous environments - don't use power tools in damp or wetlocations.• Don't use in rain.• Keep children away - all visitors should be kept at a distance from the workarea.• Dress properly - do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be caught inmoving parts. Use of rubber gloves and substantial footwear is recommendedwhen working outdoors. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.• Use safety glasses - always use face or dust mask if operation is dusty.• Use the correct tool - do not use the tool for any job except that for which it isintended.• Avoid unintentional starting - don't carry the tool with a finger on switch. Besure switch is off when plugging in.• Don't grasp the exposed cutting blades or cutting edges when picking up orholding the tool.• Don't force the tool - it will do the job better and with less likelihood of a risk ofinjury at the rate for which it was designed.• Don't overreach - keep proper footing and balance at all times.• Stay Alert - Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operatetool when you are tired.• Store idle tools indoors - when not in use, tools should be stored indoors in adry, and high or locked-up place - out of reach of children.• Maintain tool with care - keep cutting edges sharp and clean for bestperformance and to reduce the risk of injury. Follow instructions for lubricatingand changing accessories. Inspect tool cord periodically, and if damaged, haveit repaired by an authorized service facility. Inspect extension cords periodicallyand replace if damaged. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil andgrease.• Check damaged parts - before further use of the tool, a guard or other partthat is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operateproperly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of movingparts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any othercondition that may affect its operation.
