To increase the speed andtorque of your router, tum the variable speed controlselectorto a higher setting. Turn to a lower setting to decrease speedand torque.NOTE: If you do not want to use the variable speed controlselector, turn to the highest possible setting and the featurewill not be active.PRACTICE BEFORE ACTUAL USEIf your router is Model No. 315.175050 or 315.175060, wesuggest that you practice with the vadable speed feature ofyour router before installing a cutter and making cuts inwood. Check the following before connecting your routerto power supply.• Make sure power supply is 120 volts, 60 Hz, AC only.• Make sure the spindle lock is in the unlocked position./• Make sure the _gger is not in the lock-on position.• Make sure there is not a cutter in the collet.• Make sure the collet does not extend below the subbase.• Choose the desired speed from the speed selectionchart.
