Trar_-sisterized Electronic Ignitor and Ignition Coil.Inspect the following if engine fails or ishard to start:(1) Spark plug as often as necessary. Besure spark plug gap setting is .025"tO.6mm).(2) Gasoline fuel supply and fuel shut-off valvesho01d be open.{3) Carburetor being starved of fuel. The correct spark plug for this motor isNGK 8MR-6A or Campion RCJ-8,To test ignition system, remove sparkplug and pl_E',ce against bare spot on meta_part of motor away from cylinder spark,'plug hole and then pull starter cord severaltimes. If a spar k bridges the plug gap. the: Figure 14magneto is in good operating condition.CENTER BOLTFigure 13WARNINGThe high tension lead wire must be con-:nected to the plug for this check. If thereis no spark,= have the ignition checked atyour Sears Service Center.15. REMOVING MOTOR FROM BOATa. Always tilt motor by lifting on rear ofshroud. DO NOT PUSH DOWN ON THESTEERING HANDLE.
