After assembly, see OPERATIONsection of this manual for proper fuel and engine oil fill-up.This Chipper Shredder has been completely assembledat the factory, except for the debris collection bag,which is stowed in the chipper chute for shipping.Removing Unit From Carton• Remove staples, break glue on top flaps or cut tapeat carton end and peel along top flap to opencarton.• Remove any loose parts.• Cut down along carton edges and lay carton downflat.• Remove packing material. Lift unit from the rearand discard bottom pad. To pivot it downward,into the operating position, proceed as follows:• Pull the spring latch upward and gently pivot thechipper chute down until it clicks into the lock rod.See Figure 2.Figure 2Raising the Chipper ChuteWARNING: Never operate the chippershredder without chipper chute lowered intothe operating position.For convenience when storing, the chipper chute canbe pivoted upward.
