Checkthe oil level makingcertain notto rub thedipstickalong theinsidewalls of the oil fill tube. This wouldresultin a false dipstickreading.Refillto FULL markon dipstick,if necessary.Capacityisapproximately18oz. Overfillingwill causethe engineto smokeprofuselyand will resultin poor engineperformance.2. Replaceoil fill dipstickand tighten.3. Keepoil levelat FULL.Runningthe enginewith too little oil canresultin permanentenginedamage.Useextremecarewhen handlinggasoline.Gasolineis extremelyflammableand thevaporsare explosive.Neverfuel machineindoorsor whilethe engineis hot or running.Extinguishcigarettes,cigars,pipes,and other sourcesof ignition.Start/Run Slow/Idle Engine OffCHOKE CONTROLThechokecontrol is usedto chokethe carburetorand assist in startingthe engine.STARTER HANDLEUsedto startthe engine.GAS AND OIL FILL-UPOil (one bottle shipped with unit)First Time Use1. Removeoil fill dipstick.2. With theYardVacuumon levelground,usea funnelto emptyentirecontentsof oil bottle providedintothe engine.3. Replaceoil fill dipstickand tighten.Gasoline1. Removefuel capfrom the fueltank.2. Makesurethe containerfrom whichyou will pourthe gasolineiscleanand free from rust or foreignparticles.Neverusegasolinethat may be stalefrom long periodsof storagein its container.Gasolinethat has been sittingfor any periodlongerthan fourweeksshouldbe consideredstale.3. Fillfuel tank withclean, fresh,unleadedregulargasolineonly. Donotuse gasolinecontainingMETHANOL.Replacefuelcap.UseAlcoholblendedfuels (calledgasoholor usingethanolor metha-nol)can attract moisturewhichleadsto separationand formationofacids duringstorage.Acidic gascan damagethe fuel systemof anengine whilein storage.Toavoidengineproblems,thefuel systemshouldbe emptiedbeforestoragefor30 days or longer.Drainthe gas tank,start theengineand let it run untilthe fuel linesand carburetorare empty.Usefresh fuelnext season.See STORAGEInstructionsfor additionalnformaton.Subsequent UsesOnlyuse high qualitydetergentoil ratedwith APIserviceclassificationSF,SG,or SH.
