COLDWEATHEROPERATIONCAUTION:Donotstorein coldenvironment.Frostor icecouldforminsidetoolaffectingoperationanddamagingtool.Usea coldtemperaturelubricant,suchasethylene glycol, when operating tool in freez-ing temperatures.LUBRiCATiONThis is an oilless tool. No lubrication is necessary.BELT HOOK REVERSALTo reattach belt hook to other side of tool, use thesupplied hex wrench stored in belt hook.1. insert hex wrench into hex screw on oppositeside of tool.2. Loosen and remove both screw and hook.3. Reverse sides of screw and hook and tightenhook securely into place.SAFETY MECHANISM CHECKinspect contact trip safety mechanism daily for properoperation. Do not operate tool if mechanism is notoperating properly.With the red trigger switch in the rapid-fire mode,perform the following procedures to test safety mech-anism:• Leave trigger untouched while pushing contacttrip into workpiece. Tool must not fire.• Pull Trigger while contact trip is clear of work andpointed away from operator and others, Toolmust not fire.• Depress and hold trigger. Push contact tripagainst work where fastener as needed. The toolshould drive only one fastener is needed. Thetool should drive only one fastener each time thecontact trip is pushed against workpiece.If contact trip mechanism does not operate prop-erly, immediately discontinue tool operation andtake the tool to a qualified service dealer for pos-sible repair.
