Replace it immediately.RemovalTo remove the filter for cleaning orreplacement, unscrew the filter nut fromthe filter cage, remove filter plate and liftoff filter.WARNING: Do not remove the filtercage. It is there to help prevent yourfingers from getting into the blowerwhee.Wet/Dry VacIMPORTANT: To reduce the risk ofdamage to the blower wheel and motor,always reinstall the filter before using thevac for dry material pickup.Dry FilterSome removal of dry debris can beaccomplishedwithout removing the filterfromthe vac. Slap your hand on top of the powerassembly while the vac is turned off.For best cleaning results due toaccumulated dust, clean the filter in anopen area. Cleaning SHOULD be doneoutdoors and not in the living quarters.After filter removal from vac, remove thedry debris by gently tapping the filteragainst the inside wall of your dust drum.The debris will loosen and fall.For thorough cleaning of dry filter with finedust (no debris), run water through it asdescribed under "Wet Filter".Wet FilterAfter filter is removed, run water through thefilter from a hose or spigot. Take care thatwater pressure from the hose is not strongenough to damage filter. Remember: To drya filter quickly, reinstall the filter on the vacand allow the unit to run for approximately10 minutes. The clean air rushing throughthe filter will dry it.InstallationRefer to "Filter Assembly" Section of thismanual.Allow the filter to dry before storing thevac,To keep your Wet/Dry Vac looking its best,clean the outside with a cloth dampenedwith warm water and mild soap.To clean the drum:1.
