The switch will initiate an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) conversationwith an authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) server on behalf of a device toauthenticate the MAC address itself. This process is transparent to the end user andutilizes a prepopulated database on the AAA server.Table 1 lists new features of Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(22)EA9.Table 1.
