This functionenables E-Mail/ i-fax communication with SMTP servers that require user authentication.For details, refer to the section on "Authentocation at TX" and "Encrypted transmission".- POP before SMTP support*POP before SMTP, which is a transmission authentication similar to SMTP AUTH, is nowsupported. For details, refer to the section on "Authentocation at TX".- APOP and POP AUTH support *APOP and POP AUTH (authentication methods at RX) are supported. For details, refer to“Authentication at RX” and “Encrypted reception”. This function is already supported iniR C3220 or later.- SSL TX/RX support*With the condition that the server side supports, SSL communication when SMTPtransmission and SMTP and POP reception is supported. Not only the password but also thewhole receiving packets can be encrypted.
