3-15Chapter 3 Basic OperationScan Batch to FileDocuments are scanned with the preset scanningconditions, and the scanned image data is saved to aspecified folder.Scan Batch to PrinterDocuments are scanned with the preset scanningconditions, and the scanned image data is printed on aspecified printer.Scan Batch to MailScanning is performed with the specified scanningconditions, and a MAPI-compliant e-mail client is startedto generate a new e-mail message with the scanned imagesas attachments.Scan PageOnly one page of the document is scanned.Scan JobThe scanning conditions and scan mode (Scan Batch toFile, Scan Batch to Printer, or Scan Batch to Mail) areregistered in advance as a job. The scan job can then beperformed by selecting the registered job from the drop-down list (a) or by clicking (Scan Job) on the toolbar (b).HintThe following two scan jobs are already registered and up to 99additional jobs can be registered.• Color DocumentScan the document using 24-bit color, simplex, at 300 dpiresolution, and save the file in the folder [My Pictures] underthe folder [My Documents].• Binary DocumentScan the document in black-and-white, simplex, at 200 dpiresolution, and save the file in the folder [My Pictures] underthe folder [My Documents].Scan To PresentationThis mode is useful when a compact scanner is used in anenvironment such as a conference hall, where it isconnected to a large display or projector.
