In case of an issue with an Eye-Fi card,please check with the card manufacturer. Also note that an approvalis required to use Eye-Fi cards in many countries or regions. Withoutapproval, use of the card is not permitted. If it is unclear whether thecard has been approved for use in the area, please check with thecard manufacturer.Charging the BatteryRemove the battery cover and insert thebattery in the charger. 3-1z After aligning the o marks on the battery and charger, insertthe battery by pushing it in ( ) and down ( ).Charge the battery. 3-2z Battery chargers with a plug:Flip out the plug and plug the charger into a power outlet. Thelamp turns orange.z Battery chargers with a power cord:Connect the power cord to the battery charger, and then plugthe other end into a power outlet.z When charging is finished, the lamp turns green. Remove thebattery.Inserting the Battery and Memory CardOpen the cover. 4-1z Slide the cover ( ) and open it ( ).Insert the battery. 4-2z Holding the battery with the terminals ( ) facing as shown,move the battery lock in the direction of the arrow, insert thebattery, and push it in all the way until the lock clicks shut.z To remove the battery, press the battery lock in the direction ofthe arrow.Check the card's write-protect tab andinsert the memory card. 4-3z Shooting is not possible with cards that have a write-protect tab( ) in the locked position. Slide the tab up until it clicks into theunlocked position.z Insert the memory card with the terminals ( ) facing as shownuntil the lock clicks shut.z To remove the memory card, push it in until you feel a click, andthen slowly release it.Close the cover. 4-4z Lower the cover ( ) and hold it down as you slide it, until itclicks into the closed position ( ).123-13-2CB-2LXCB-2LXE4-14-24-34-45-15-25-36-16-27-17-27-37-48-18-28-3Setting the Date and TimeTurn the camera on. 5-1z Press the power button to turn the camera on. The [Date/Time]screen is displayed.Set the date and time. 5-2z Press the <q><r> buttons to choose an option, and then adjustthe setting, either by pressing the <o><p> buttons or turningthe <7> dial.z When finished, press the <m> button.Specify your home time zone. 5-3z Press the <q><r> buttons or turn the <7> dial to choose yourhome time zone.z Press the <m> button when finished. After a confirmationmessage, the setting screen is no longer displayed.Change the date and time.1 Press the <n> button.2 Move the zoom lever to choose the [3] tab.3 Press the <o><p> buttons or turn the <7> dial to choose [Date/Time], and then press the <m> button.4 Follow step 5-2 to configure the setting, and then press the <n>button.Display LanguageEnter Playback mode. 6-1z Press the <1> button.Access the setting screen. 6-2z Press and hold the <m> button, and then immediately pressthe <n> button.z Press the <o><p><q><r> buttons or turn the <7> dial tochoose a language, and then press the <m> button.ShootingTurn the camera on and enter <A>mode. 7-1z Press the power button and set the mode dial to <A>.Compose the shot. 7-2z To zoom in and enlarge the subject, move the zoom levertoward <i> (telephoto) as you watch the screen, and to zoomaway from the subject, move it toward <j> (wide angle).Shoot still images. 7-3z Press the shutter button lightly ( ).z The camera beeps twice after focusing, and AF frames aredisplayed to indicate image areas in focus. Press the shutterbutton all the way down ( ).Shoot movies. 7-4z Press the movie button to start shooting, and press it again tostop.ViewingEnter Playback mode. 8-1z Press the <1> button.Browse through your images. 8-2z To view the previous or next image, press the <q><r> buttonsor turn the <7> dial.z Movies are identified by a [ ] icon. To play movies, go tostep 8-3.Play movies. 8-3z Press the <m> button to access the movie control panel,choose [ ] (either press the <q><r> buttons or turn the <7>dial), and then press the <m> button again.z Movie playback begins, and you can adjust the volume asneeded by pressing the <o><p> buttons.z After the movie is finished, [ ] is displayed.Touch-Screen Operationsz The camera’s touch-screen panel enables intuitive operationsimply by touching or tapping the screen.z Touch ......... Touch the screen briefly with your finger.Ex: Touch [ ] to start movie playback.z Drag ..... Touch the screen and move your finger across it.Ex: In playback mode, drag right to left (or left to right) to choosean image to view.To adjust the volume during movie playback, quickly dragup or down across the screen.Erase the images.1 Press the <a> button.2 After [Erase?] is displayed, press the <q><r> buttons or turn the<7> dial to choose [Erase], and then press the <m> button.Using wireless LAN functionz For instructions on using the wireless LAN function, refer to theCamera User Guide in the CD-ROM.COPY |
