54Shooting – The BasicsPostcard Print ModeYou can shoot images with the optimalresolution and compression for postcard sizeprinting.• When printing standard image data to postcardsize, sometimes the top and bottom sides maynot get printed.• By shooting images in the Postcard Print mode, youcan check the printing area (vertical/horizontal ratioof 3:2) beforehand. In addition, the resolution locksto M1 (1600 x 1200) and the compression locks tothe (Fine) setting, rendering smaller data sizes.1 Press the FUNC. button.2 Select L* usingthe or button.* The current setting isdisplayed.3 Select(Postcard) usingthe or button.Mode Dialz You can shoot the image right after selectingsettings by pressing the shutter button. Themenu displays again after the shot, allowingyou to change the settings easily.4 Press the FUNC. button.5 Shoot the image.z When you press theshutter button halfway,the area that will not getprinted (the top andbottom sides) grays out.z Shooting procedures arethe same as for the mode (p. 33).Selecting cancels the [On] setting of thedigital zoom.z This setting is not available with certainShooting modes.
