Connecting to a PictBridge Compliant DeviceTo connect a PictBridge compliant device to this printer, use the USB cable supplied with thedevice.1 Turn on the printer.2 Load the paper in the printer.See “Loading Paper” on page 11. PictBridge is an Industry standard enabling a range of digital photosolutions, including the direct printing of photos from a digital still camera,camcorder or mobile phone* without the need to use a computer. Canon Bubble Jet Direct allows you to print photos from a Canon Bubble JetDirect compatible (PictBridge incompatible) digital camera or digital videocamcorder without a computer by simply connecting the digital camera ordigital video camcorder to this printer.* Hereafter, the PictBridge compliant digital camera, digital camcorder, orcamera-equipped mobile phone are collectively called a PictBridgecompliant device.Do not connect any equipment other than PictBridge compliant devices,Canon Bubble Jet compatible camera, or the Bluetooth unit (option) to thedirect print port of the printer. If you do so, electric shock, fire, or damage tothe device could result.When producing photos with the digital device connected to the printer, it isadvisable to use the AC adapter supplied with the device. If you use thedevice battery, be sure to charge it fully.
