Preparations28Memory Cards Compatible for Use withthe CamcorderYou can use commercially availableSDHC (SD high capacity) memorycards and SD memory cards withthis camcorder to record movies andphotos. However, depending on thememory card, you may not be able torecord movies on it. Refer to thefollowing table.As of December 2008, the movierecording function has been testedusing SD/SDHC memory cards madeby Panasonic, SanDisk and Toshiba.NOTESAbout the SD Speed Class: The SD SpeedClass is a standard that indicates theminimum guaranteed data transferspeed of SD/SDHC memory cards.When you buy a new memory card,look for the Speed Class logo on thepackage.Inserting and Removing a Memory CardMake sure to initialize all memory cardsbefore using them with this camcorder( 29).1 Turn off the camcorder.Make sure that the ON/OFF(CHG)(power/charge) indicator is off.2 Slide the memory card slot coveraway from the lens and open it.3 Insert the memory card straight,with the label facing away from thelens, all the way into the memorycard slot until it clicks.4 Close the cover and slide it towardthe lens until you hear a click.Using a Memory CardMemory cards usable for recording movies* Depending on the memory card, it may not be possible to record movies.Memory card Capacity SD Speed Class Recording moviesSD memory cards64 MB or less – –128 MB to 2 GB – *512 MB to 2 GB or higherSDHC memory cards 4 GB to 32 GB or higherCOPYDownloaded From VideoCamera-Manual.com Manuals
