If you use the e-mail reception feature of this machine, you need another e-mail account. For detailson the e-mail reception feature, see “Preparing to Receive E-Mails,” (→ P. 28).SMTP server address The server address that is used when sending e-mailsAuthentication method The following two authentication methods are supported.SMTP authenticationThe method in which the SMTP server checks the user name and passwordbefore sending e-mails. Many Internet service providers use this method.POP before SMTPThe method in which the POP server checks the POP address and POPpassword before sending e-mails.
