32The camera can use a CF card and SD card. Images can be recordedwith at least one memory card installed in the camera.If both card slots have a card, you can select which card to recordimages with or record the same images simultaneously on both cards.(p.73)If you use an SD card, be sure the write protect switch is setupward to enable writing/erasing.1 Open the cover.Flip out and turn the cover releasehandle as shown by the arrow.2 Insert the memory card.The left slot is for the CF card, andthe right slot is for the SD card.With the CF card, face the labelside toward you as shown in theillustration and insert the end withthe small holes into the camera.If the CF card is inserted in thewrong way, it may damage thecamera.X The CF card eject button will stick out.With the SD card’s label facing you,push in the card until it clicks in place.3 Close the cover.Press the cover until it snaps shut.Installing and Removing the Memory CardInstalling a CardThe camera can also use SDHC memory cards.Ultra DMA (UDMA) CF cards enable faster data writing.
